This is a blog and a newsletter. A blog is like kissing a donkey? Click the arrow at left…

Why is a blog like kissing a donkey? You might get kicked. People will say, huh?

The Forgiving Nature Post is what happens when a heavily self-censored (not self-centered!) nature boy opens up: a newsletter about forgiving ourselves and the rules of the universe and being more grateful we’re animals in an ecosystem. This periodic newsletter will share short essays, book news, and poetry featured on rjbonney.com. It will also highlight the work of people fighting the good fight and trying to stay sane. Please subscribe here.

Staying Sane by Eben and Rob

I recently had a thoughtful and fun conversation with poet and climate justice champion Eben E. B. Bein on the topic of staying sane without giving up the fight. Here’s a video of Eben reading their poem This Body It is For, and highlights from the interview are below.

Eben and I have worked together on all kinds of interesting climate-related advocacy. We also share a lot of interests which show up in what we write. I was happy to see they were doing a poetry reading nearby and I went down to check it out.

Those were fun! I’ll be a clown, or a dinosaur, or Charlie’s chauffeur for the climate, any day. What’s next??

Grateful for like-minded friends who make doing activist things fun and memorable. And who show me by example how to do more. 🙂

So many great memories of a good time working for the environment together. That is the best way to make a difference -in community!
Thanks for reminding all of us what a united front looks like.
